2015 Mitsubishi Mirage,Full review,Specification,Price details,etc...

Mitsubishi Mirage 2015

 OVERVIEW

Mitsubishi Motors, division of the giant Mitsubishi Corporation, is one of the most important Asian brands in what refers to the manufacture of vehicles, especially cars and light trucks. It has a significant global presence with numerous products, and it has been the first manufacturer of automobiles in the Japan.
Its logo consists of three diamonds, derived in turn from the Mitsubishi brand name: a mixture of "Mitsu" and "Hishi", meaning three and diamond respectively. Their cars have a reputation for rugged, solvents and very well made in mechanics. In addition brand image is looked after to the end, so the service to the client and the quality of their products is first.

The Japanese car manufacturer, Mitsubishi had showcased the sketch of its global small car, at the 2011 Geneva Auto Expo and the small car has popped up at the Tokyo Motor Show in December, 2011. Mirage can head towards India and can arrive next year after being launched in Thailand in March, 2012 followed by the launch in Japan sometime during the mid 2012. At an expected price of Rs 5 lakh, Mirage could genuinely turn out to be a life-saver for Mitsubishi as hatchback sector occupies the major chunk of car sales in India.

 Engine & Specs

Mitsubishi Mirage is a conventional looking hatchback that suitably qualifies as an urban car. It certainly cannot boasts about its appearance but for mileage, Mirage gives a thumps up. With just a 1.0 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine under the hood in Japanese version, Mirage is capable of delivering a good 30 kmpl of mileage. The figure will be challenging to be attained in Indian version as experts suggest that a slightly powerful 1.2 L petrol engine will make it to Indian market. It will be a dicey thing to guess the launch date of the car in India. All Mirage models come standard with dual front, front-side and full-length side curtain airbags in addition to traction and stability control systems and Brake Assist.

Exterior

The exterior looks simple with its two-tier grille and small headlamps. The lines give it a moderate look, but the emphasis is on utility and practicality. The Mitsubishi logo placed below the bonnet is attractive and body colored bumper and fog lamps lend it some elegance. The rear looks better with rear wiper, body colored boot lid opener and the Mitsubishi badge. The high mount stop lamp on the rear spoiler enhances the aerodynamic quotient as well. The length is under 4m, so the car qualifies for tax sops too.

Interior

The mirage is really focuses on compactness, affordability and fuel efficiency. However, the interior has metallic accents and sporty instrument cluster. The central console has two AC vents with audio system and the CVT gear box looks attractive. Though the two color theme is retained inside, the seats are comfortable. Fog lamps, airbags, tainted glass and fine seats give the car an edge. Power windows and rear wiper with defogger are expected. Optional leather seats and foldable back seats are among other features that offers comfortable ride.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Preview

Expected price: Rs. 7.25 Lakh - Rs. 10.5 Lakh
                                                             Expected launch: October, 2014

The Ciaz's design is inspired by the 'Suzuki Authentics Concept' and looks totally new as compared to the SX4. It features sharper character lines, while the surface looks more contemporary. The Ciaz will also get a wide chrome grille and large wraparound headlamps.
Maruti Suzuki is on a mission to reinvent itself and has set its course to success with a whole load of new models of which the first was the Celerio hatchback. It will soon be followed by the Ciaz sedan which is expected to launch sometime next month and will replace the SX4 sedan which has been on sale in India since 2006
The Ciaz is believed to be based on the Ertiga platform, which in turn borrows from the Swift hatchback. This means Maruti will have the option of component sharing to cut cost and bring in economies of scale.

Engine and Gearbox details
The petrol version of the Ciaz will be powered by the 1.4-litre K-Series engine from the Ertiga producing 93bhp and 130Nm of torque. The base variants will be available with a five-speed manual transmission. The diesel on the other hand is expected to be a 1.3-litre Multijet unit that produces 90bhp and 200Nm of torque. Both engines will be offered with a five-speed manual, while the petrol may also get the option of the AMT from the Celerio.
Spy pictures reveal that the Ciaz will be offered in six variants-three and diesel of which a new variant is the VXi+/VDi+ which is the new mid-level variant.
