     Audi has finally confirmed an entry-level Q1 crossover SUV. Designed to rival the Nissan Juke, the Q1 will get more space and added ride height over the A1 supermini. Audi hopes the car will attract new buyers as much as it will those looking for improved practicality, but purists will argue that it's just another niche car with little real-world appeal. Built on the same platform as the Audi A3, it will seat four and be powered by the same engine range as the A1, meaning a sub-100g/km 1.6 TDI is on the cards.

Chevrolet recently announced about their upcoming SUV model named Trail blazer.
During the auto expo 2014 they presented the model and got Positive comments from viewers in India.

The advanced 3.6L V6 SIDI DOHC VVT engine delivers power and performance whilst offering a combined fuel efficiency of 12.2L/100km, and thanks to class-leading maximum cargo space you can also carry everything you need. Manufactures planned that Hyundai i30 to be more fuel efficient and also very much sensitive. Though an exact specification is not yet set out for the public, an estimation of The Hyundai i30 can still be given out. Hyundai i30 is expected to be launching out in an extended version of the hatchback and Hyundai i30 appears to be a bit more oval in shape if looked from the side.                       Maruti Suzuki India is planning to bring in a new premium hatchback in 2015 to take on the Hyundai i20 and the yet-to-be-launched new-generation Honda Jazz. The vehicle was recently unveiled as a concept, named the Suzuki iK-2, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle will be launched in several international markets including India. Though the global model might get a new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, the Indian model could get the Swift's 1.2-litre K-Series unit. The diesel engine, too, could be the same 1.3-litre multijet unit that also power the Maruti Ciaz.

The concept looks different from usual Suzuki cars, features a sloping roofline and ends in a steeply raked windscreen. The iK-2’s side profile feature pronounced creases and a window line that rises towards the rear. Going by the concept, it is clearly visible that the production model will be much wider and longer than the Swift hatch. However, the aggressive creases will be toned down to make it road compatible.

               The next generation Ford Figo will make its global debut in Brazil before making its way to India by early 2015. Like the Ford EcoSport, this hatchback has also been developed by Ford Brazil, indicating that this product will primarily target emerging markets, including India. The Brazilian market will get a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol mill, capable of churning out 85bhp, while running on gasoline and ethanol. But the India-bound version might continue to be powered by the existing engine options - 1.4-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol. If rumours are to be believed, Ford India might also launch the new-gen Figo with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine that also powers the EcoSport.

    The Ciaz's design is inspired by the 'Suzuki Authentics Concept' and looks totally new as compared to the SX4. It features sharper character lines, while the surface looks more contemporary. The Ciaz will also get a wide chrome grille and large wraparound headlamps.

Maruti Suzuki is on a mission to reinvent itself and has set its course to success with a whole load of new models of which the first was the Celerio hatchback. It will soon be followed by the Ciaz sedan which is expected to launch sometime next month and will replace the SX4 sedan which has been on sale in India since 2006

The Ciaz is believed to be based on the Ertiga platform, which in turn borrows from the Swift hatchback. This means Maruti will have the option of component sharing to cut cost and bring in economies of scale.

Engine and Gearbox details

The petrol version of the Ciaz will be powered by the 1.4-litre K-Series engine from the Ertiga producing 93bhp and 130Nm of torque. The base variants will be available with a five-speed manual transmission. The diesel on the other hand is expected to be a 1.3-litre Multijet unit that produces 90bhp and 200Nm of torque. Both engines will be offered with a five-speed manual, while the petrol may also get the option of the AMT from the Celerio.

Spy pictures reveal that the Ciaz will be offered in six variants-three and diesel of which a new variant is the VXi+/VDi+ which is the new mid-level variant.

Review

         Honda Cars India Limited has recently introduced its first ever MPV model, Mobilio for the Indian automobile market. It has introduced the vehicle in three trim levels with both petrol and diesel engine options. At the same time, it also rolled out the RS variant that is available with a diesel engine option only. However, it has stated that the deliveries of this sportier version will begin from the coming month. Now, it has also introduced V Option and RS Option variants in its series with a few additional features. These aspects include Audio Video Navigation system featuring 15.7cm touchscreen display, rear parking  camera and woody interior panels. The petrol variants are powered by a 1.5-litre, i-VTEC engine, which is capable of producing 118bhp in combination with peak torque of 145Nm. On the other hand, the diesel version is equipped with a fuel efficient 1.5-litre, i-DTEC motor that belts out a peak power of 98.6bhp, while generating 200Nm. This motor can produce an impressive mileage of 24.2 Kmpl. Both these engines are paired with an advanced five speed manual transmission gearbox. This latest MPV is bestowed with numerous exciting comfort features like an AC unit, a 2-DIN audio system, height adjustable driver's seat and electrically adjustable outside mirrors. The main highlight of its exteriors is its rear profile that is equipped with bold cosmetics, which makes it look stunning. However, the interiors look very simple with a dual tone color scheme, wherein the dashboard comes in black color. Now, with the inclusion of woody panels, the look of its interiors gets a premium appeal. The top end variant is blessed with a set of stylish 10-spoke styled alloy wheels, while the base and mid level trims are introduced with conventional steel wheels. Its interiors are equipped with several utility based aspects like a day and night inside rear view mirror, room lamp, sun visors, storage compartment and much more. This MPV will now lock horns with the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Nissan Evalia and Chevrolet Enjoy in the car market. On the other hand, it comes with a standard 2 years or 40,000 kilometers warranty (whichever is earlier). However, customers can extend the warranty period for another two years at an additional cost. The company claims that the vehicle's maintenance cost will be lowest in its segment, which makes it more competitive.

       The Volkswagen Tiguan has been in the news for quite a while with speculations about the crossover’s possible launch in India. In fact, the speculations have been fuelled by the spy shots of the Tiguan being tested on Indian roads in the past.
 Look at the success of the Audi Q3, BMW or even the Renault Duster and you know that India surely loves its SUVs and compact crossovers, but Volkswagen has tasted little success in this regard.
