Overview
The Indian car market is waiting for the new improved fiat punto abarth evo.It expected to be lauch in 2015 september itself.Looking to get ahead the Fiat with its T-Jet powered Punto EVO hatchback in the launch reaching point.You can see the amazing change of punto evo.
Exterior
The Abarth Punto EVO gets new paint schemes, an Abarth logo in place of the Fiat logo and the T-Jet badging. There are also some cosmetic changes like a Scorpion decal, and red Abarth stickering at the sides set it apart from the current model on sale. The car features red-coloured OVRMs and a new pattern for the alloy wheels.
Interior
The interior of the Abarth Punto get some minute change than their previous models.The changes are FIAT logo on the steering wheel is replaced by the Abarth logo and the instrument cluster also gets an 'Abarth' badging in the centre. The cabin features new sporty pedals and comes with different seats with coloured stitching, while the remaining layout and equipment list is the same as the regular model of the hatchback there were no changes in it.
Engine and gearbox
The Punto EVO currently gets two petrol varrients. The base version is the 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine producing 67bhp while the higher spec is a 1.4-litre four-pot motor producing 89bhp. On the other hand, the T-Jet engine powering the Abarth Punto is a four-cylinder 1.4-litre varrient that produces 140bhp and 200Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. With a lowered ride height, disc brakes on all wheels, a stiffer suspension and this engine and gearbox combination the car might hit all the right chords.
Price and competition
We expect that the Abarth Punto will be priced 8.5 lakhs to 9.5 lakhs.(on road price)
The base models start with 8.5 lakhs and the higher ends will be 9.5 lakhs.
